The S15 is heavier but has almost twice the amount of horsepower of the MRS, so it should easily compensate for that.

But I never really see that. Everyone comes to race, but it forces them to race WAY more clean than in any other online sim I have raced in. (especially LFS) The guys who have the 'Pro' safety rating are always the fastest, they have really put the time in and have the experience.

Well one could argue about that. I drive a MR2 Turbo myself and well, it's not exactly the easiest car on the planet. But saying FWD is easy, is only partly true. Up untill a certain speed, fwd is easier. But on the limit both FWD and RWD require specific skills to take the most out of it. Also the rear wheels on a 'sprty' FWD are far from useless. Most FWD cars which are setup for racing or auto-x depend on a 'loose' rear to counter the understeer which in turn makes it difficult

The reason why race cars run RWD is because at high speeds, the weight shifts to the back, and thus more traction during acceleration. This is almost notwithstanding for FFs at low speeds because they have an engine over the wheels anyways.

I totally agree with you buddy. The Mitsubishi GTO is a legend comparing to other Japanese and american cars during its years.
The GTO is also one of the earliest cars to be running on an AWD system with a turbocharged V6 engine. Love that car!! Too bad the GTO is very rare in Indonesia.

@zpunout thats the only thing people should do. tap or jerk or burst the pedal to loosen up the sticky part. i drove my friend's AE86 at hot run, then the pedal got stuck down at the floor (a relay box came loose and got tangled up with the pedal). i couldnt tap the pedal since it's already on the floor, nothing else i could do, so i shut off the engine and brake. simple as it is.

@thweepz sometimes, but the recall was more to the pedal itself. few of them got sticky (did not come back as quick as it should when you let go the pedal). its just a small mechanical friction that comes after lots of mileage on the car, not that big of a deal if you (everybody) understand how it works.

A friend of mine put his car into someone's house when he claimed the accelerator cable jammed at full throttle. My dad used to have a similar model and it had a jammy cable when I drove it. Another friend had one of these cars and he had to give small bursts of accelerator to get it to "jiggle" the cable and make it drop down to idle They were early 80's model Holden Commodores in Australia.

That was not part of the recall, there was a software problem with the ABS on 2010 Prius' that caused the ABS to not always kick in, but the brakes still worked. Nothing I've seen had anything to do with the brakes on the other cars. Toyota never recalled the Prius as far as I know, because most of the cars had updated software before they left the lot, and all other owners could get the software update if they were concerned about it.

Thats not what I was saying at all... It was certainly an unfortunate accident, and Toyota clearly needs to fix the problem (as I started out by saying in my first comment) BUT, really it doesn't take that much sense to reach down and click the ignition off. And somehow, calling 911 wouldn't have been the first thing I would have done if the throttle stuck open on my car. Its one thing if the throttle sticks open going into a corner or something, but he had time to place a phone call...

While the sticking accelerator needs to be fixed, I think people are making a far bigger deal out of it than there needs to be. In the rare occurrence that the throttle sticks, drop it into neutral or shut off the engine!! Its THAT simple! Some people have noo common sense! Like the cal. highway patrolman whose lexus' throttle stuck. His family had the time to place a 911 call on their cell phones before the crash, but he didn't have the sense to shift to neutral or shut the car off!? WTF?
