I've test driven a 2010 Legacy 2.5GT. Very well composed, yet the turbocharged boxer engine has torque all over the rev range! Shame it has an electronic parking brake, no more young-gun hairpin drifts XD
But that all the more reflects on the new Legacy's "grown-up" theme.

But with the WRX you get more cargo space, a better back seat, close to the same performance though not quite as good, and AWD for the long snowy winters. Both are very different cars but are high on the bang for buck list.

Same with the 09, even though has lower revs, if I take it up to 6.5, it overshoots the torque cruve when I upshift. And the torque you get at 6.5 doesn't compensate for what you've missed

The Lan Evo boards were full of "you suck because you don't have one" "stop dreaming" "your car will never be as good as mins", ect. Yeesh. Over on the Subie boards it was a totally different story. Sure there were a handful of Dbags, but the majority of the community? was friendly and I even got some locals offering wrench help for beer.

@2003vwgti1 You're absolutely right. New model is ugly. Might I suggest the next best thing, buying a second hand 2006 WRX STI S204 limited edition... these are NICE. Alot of the parts are carbon fibre and they are VERY fast and handle ridiculously well.

The difference between these two cars is just who do you think it has better looking than the other? All people have diferent tastes, so if you think Subaru Impreza is better looking then you will choose it, however if you prefer Evo VIII styling you will go for it. And for me I like Evo VIII the most, but that doesn't mean I don't like the Subaru, in fact I like it a lot, but I like the EVO more than the Subaru.

This Subaru Impreza looks great and badass at the same time, but then i look at the brand new Subaru Impreza and ask myself WHAT THE FUCK were they thinking when they designed it???
